WGO was selected to be a part of an elite group of independent insurance agencies from around the United States to participate in the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA) "Best Practices" Study Group, and was ultimately awarded the “Best Practices Award” for 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. More than 900 of 33,000 independent agencies throughout the U.S. were nominated to take part in the annual survey, but only 195 agencies qualified for the honor. Nominated by an IIABA affiliated state association or an insurance company, each agency was required to be the top performer in its revenue category in terms of outstanding customer service, growth, stability and financial management.
